About Us
In our mind lies a store of thoughts, thought that are active and those that are dormant. We have to learn the art of activating these dormant thoughts.
All great leaders and reformers had immortal philosophies and out look on their immediate social environment. One such leader and reformer was Swami DAYANAND SARASWATI,an ardent believer in and exponent of the Absolute Truth and the founder of the Arya Samaj movement. He was a revivalist and a socialist Hindu leader. He was resolute, determined and active in giving shapes to his thoughts. He possessed an incisive and sharp observation and understanding of his fellow beings. For him it was not power, but progression and salvation of his people that mattered. No amount of wealth or position could dissuade him from his goal. No sacrifice was too great to achieve his objective.
For him Arya Samaj was that positive and progressive society that could give shapes to his reforms and bring realisation and challenge the sub-norms in Hindu society. What is this Aray Samaj.
Arya Samaj is not a religion, but a constituent and integral part of Hindu (Vedic) Dharma. Aray Samaj stands for a perfect type of rationalism, which consists in harmonising science, philosophy, sociology, emotion and religion - infect all that concerns life. It also stands for toleration, for it is reprehensible vanity that says that other have on right to hold there views. It also welcomes those who rise and oppose those orthodox institutions which have become rotten and diseased, and instead of benefiting the society have begun to undermine its structure.
Arya stands for TRUTH, HONESTY and DEVOTION to God.
